BoldMove celebrates success with Brass Ring Award at IAAPA Orlando

Smash & Reload themed media dark ride awarded as Best New Product 2023 - successful launch of Voodoo Festival IP

Brussels, 22 November 2023 - BoldMove Nation is pleased to report a successful participation at IAAPA Orlando 2023. The team presented on their booth an impressive line-up of dark rides and themed design services, closely located to partner Triotech who displayed the Smash & Reload maquette as part of the portfolio. As a result of this successful collaboration, the team received the prestigious Brass Ring Award in the category Best New Product 2023 for their Smash & Reload media dark ride.

The first one recently opened in theme and animal park Le PAL (France) as Champi'Folies, and has been recognized as one of Europe’s Best New Attractions in 2023 by the European Star Awards and German Parkscout Plus Awards. The attraction is based on BoldMove's Smash & Reload concept and theming, with TooMush IP and gameplay by Polymorph, ride technology and interactivity by Triotech.

The team presented at the show its Raptor Expedition walkthrough, a thrilling and fun attraction with augmented reality, and the new Immersive Theming & Media Group that combines experience design with media content and theming.

BoldMove's new Voodoo Festival IP, featuring a fun-scary fair setting for Smash & Reload, enjoyed great interest from the US market. This unique attraction works perfectly as stand-alone ticketed indoor attraction or as part of a family entertainment center in parks and city centers. Voodoo Festival comes in two versions, a daytime one for families and a more scary version for adults in the evenings. The story evolves around voodoo dolls that come back to life by mysterious magic. Players can save the Mardi Gras festival from total takeover by flinging good luck bags at the crazy dolls and break the curse.

With its extra-ordinary capacity of 430 persons per hour (up to 600 for the larger version), the Smash & Reload double-action ride accommodates a large number of visitors on a compact space of 2500sqft. Operated by one person and low in maintenance, the media ride offers guaranteed thrill and fun for families and friends seeking a unique experience. High-scoring and different player levels in the gameplay encourage repeat visits, whilst merchandising programmes bring extra revenue. The high-level media content can be adjusted to seasonal events like Halloween and Christmas. Also for corporate team building Smash & Reload offers a challenging and fun activity, with options for branding and personalisation.

BoldMove's CEO Benoit Cornet attended IAAPA Orlando 20 times in previous roles and installed interactive technologies in multiple Six Flag parks and at Hollywood Wax Museum. He is happy to return with BoldMove Nation, bringing fresh and innovative concepts to the market together with its Canadian-based partner Triotech.
